| Wu Dang Wu Shu Team & Lion Dance Team many years. Thes teams have not only was the only American team invited to participate in have been an important part of the academy for Chinese New Year celebration at the United Nations by the Chinese Consulate. In August 2006 the Wu Dang Wu Shu Team received first place honors at the prestigious invitational Jhaizhang International Wu Shu Competition held in Hangzhou China. The tournament hosted 3800 competitors from around the world. Traveling with only ten of the teams 13 member roster the Wu Dang Wu Shu Team and Lion Dance Team members received a record 36 gold metals in individual events. Every summer students get the opportunity to travel to China with Master Jack for intensive wu shu training. Team members come back even stronger while other students make the transition to the teams. |
